This Sesame Street illustration took me longer than I wanted, but that's that Daddy Life! This is also why I created this illustration. We celebrated my daughter's first year of life in a March and I wanted to add a special touch to help honor her entry into our lives. This piece is dedicated to her and the fun she has with these characters on tv and in her life. This is the first piece of art I've done since she's been alive that she actively engaged with and didn't just look at... so that makes me extremely proud.

As I begin to grow as an artist I am entering a new phase of my career. After creating my book, I've become more streamlined with my art direction. I was told before that my work was very clean, but I've made an effort to be even more so.  I've taken a cue from animation and children's book illustration and will be adding my comic experience along with that to begin new body of work. I have a lot of ideas for illustrations that will look really great in this style and I can't wait to share them with you...
