A Reason To Smile Kickstarter

It has finally arrived!!! Well, it's launched=] head to:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/969189472/find-a-reason-to-smile

and you can see all of the wonderful rewards for such an amazing project, yes, I said amazing! I am extremely proud of this project and everything I've done to bring it to kickstarter and I hope you get a chance to view it and contribute to it.  Wouldn't it be great if you can be part of why such a good thing happens?  Talk about a reason to smile!

Luiza lost her smile, get the book and find out why and how she gets it back!

The Hunt

With my book about to be on Kickstarter, I have been able to knock out some commissions. I rarely draw night scenes so this was interesting. I did my best to differentiate Black Panther from the night time colors.
Balancing extreme light vs dark is no easy task. Who do you think would win between Black Panther and Moon Knight?

The original point of this drawing was to marker it up and I realized I never did a piece with either character and wanted to have it in my portfolio. This will go out to the commissioner tomorrow with a big thank you for allowing me to take it home and digitize it... This took a total of 6 hours from sketch to markers.

AvenueQ

As I begin to grow as an artist I am entering a new phase of my career. After creating my book, I've become more streamlined with my art direction. I was told before that my work was very clean, but I've made an effort to be even more so.  I've taken a cue from animation and children's book illustration and will be adding my comic experience along with that to begin new body of work. I have a lot of ideas for illustrations that will look really great in this style and I can't wait to share them with you...

Thanks for coming along with me on my journey as always!

NudeStudy

It's been a long time since I have drawn nudes, and a long time since I've been able to draw them with enough time to complete the drawing. Here is a sketch I did at the High School of Art & Design in NYC this weekend and I was able to draw for 8 hours without worry. Usually I draw models for 10/20 minutes at most so this was pretty relaxing. It was a great chance to keep the flow going and put together something I am very proud of. The last time I drew like this was in college back in 2001
