More art to come!

I just finished doing some traditional art on a Wolverine and Batman Mashup which I am really excited for! I posted a sneak preview on twitter, where you can catch me @thalearningcurv =] check it out and come back in a few days.  I am hoping to have it fully colored by tomorrow but we'll see, life has had me busy outside of art so I am trying to get a good balance of the two, see you soon!

I was lucky enough to be able to enter a contest creating a t-shirt with the Avengers are the theme.... this is my entry.  I hope it is well received.....

This is my first commission piece to be published, I am so excited! Once the book comes out, I'll have info for you all... I hope to have a copy of the book by the time the New York Comic Con comes around! 

Bleez Vs. Morrigan

Red Lantern Vs. Video Game Queen....  I really do enjoy doing the battle images.  I always keep it pretty neutral, not picking a side one way or the other, but the concepts are always fun to put together.  Seeing a creature of rage go against someone who is very whimsical and playful is fun.  I got to play with the colors in this too being that this is entirely done by hand, so pushing the paint around brought me on an interesting journey....

Expect to see more pieces like this from me.....

Thanos, the Mad Titan

I am in the process of trying to get back to doing traditional media art and am proud to say this was completely done by hand. I have a fine arts background as well as wanting to do the commercial, comic styled art, so revisiting this style was very reinvigorating.  I am not even close to where I want to be, but I am happy with the result..... Below is the finished piece..... now back to more practice!

The New Avengers

One thing i will always love about Marvel Comics is how much they try and relate to the average man on the street.  This team is a team that pretty much has proven themselves and got to break away from hat the typical Avengers were doing and were able to handle NYC and anything else that may need super hero assistance.... plus we actually got to enjoy seeing Heroes during their day to day too. Stuart Immonem's art didn't hurt either ;-)

The colors on this were a departure from my norm and instead of doing them myself as usual, I reached out to Danielle Alexis St. Pierre who has her beautiful art at http://dalexisstpierre.deviantart.com/ .  She knocked these colors out for me and it's been a hit over on deviant art for me=] i wish I was as good as she=]
